SENATOR PHILIP ADUDA’S BILL ON FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY UNVIERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, ABAJI

Senator Aduda’s Bill on

“ An Act to provide for the establishment of the Federal Capital Territory University of Science and Technology, Abaji and for related matters , 2017”

In his lead debate, the deputy minority leader said:

·         The school was established in 2009

·         To create more access to University education for our youths

·         To complement only one University already in existence in Abuja

·         Existing infrastructures are already in place

·         To Act as catalyst through post graduate training and research

·         To identify problems and needs of the society

·         Make our capital Abuja to close ranks with other Capital cities of the world in terms of education  

·         Transform technological fortunes of Nigeria and the desired manpower

·         No extra financial compendium or implications on FG he said.
     The Bill was referred to Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Tetfund to report back in two weeks.
