IMPLEMENTATION OF BUDGET WILL PUT FOOD ON NIGERIANS TABLE- SENATOR AKPABIO

Senate Minority Leader Senator Akpabio in contributing to the debate on Budget Bill before its passage today, commended the Senate for passing the budget, while he emphasised that its the implementation of the budget that will put food on the table of Nigerians.

He said the budget should improve the lives of Nigerians. But he could not agree with the Senate Leader hgo commented that 2017 Budget has about 75% performance. He called the attention of the Senate leader over the Aba-Ikot Ekpene Road which he said he has not seen a single trip of sand on site along that road which was approved in 2017 with appropriations for the road.

Continuing he said that procurement process for any capital project takes uncessarily too long thereby impeding on the implementation of the Budget.

So he called for adequate implementation of the budget for the effects to trickle down to the grassroots for all Nigerians to benefit from the budget.
