Yes it’s a rhetorical
question that only demands the affirmation from your heart in concurring to the
trending reality of constant and consistent empowerment of Anambra North youths
by our indefatigable Senator Stella Oduah.
Just two days ago,
precisely on May 29th another batch of lucky youths were empowered through the
BE A MILLIONAIRE EMPOWERMENT program of our erudite Senator.
25 youths of Anambra
North, had their lives changed forever for the better. Each of them was
rewarded with N100,000 as price award for being chosen as a successful
candidate for the program.
The smiles of
emancipation and financial liberation were real and natural. The hall could not
contain their joy and excitement as they expressed gratitude for the change of
destiny for them forever.
This scene has remained
a recurring decimal in the lives of Anambra North youths under the able
leadership and representation of our indefatigable Senator Stella Oduah. Our
senator swore to change the lives of our people for the better with a
representation that is unprecedented in our history. And she is living up to
her campaign promises and expectations.
Her unalloyed desire
and passion to teach our people how to fish as against giving them fish to eat
is driven by the quest to permanently empower every house hold and liberate
them from depending on paid jobs that are not forthcoming in today’s Nigeria to
survive. This has remained the mainstay of our people as far back as history
could recall.
Our people are known to
be entrepreneurs who do not waste their time and energy queuing for jobs that
continue to deplete even when our population burgeons daily without
commensurate rate of GDP growth to match the rate of the geometrical explosion
of our human population.
Rather our people
depend on their ingenuity to create a path way to life where there is no road. This
is how we survived post war traumatizing hardships and deprivations by
conspirators who did everything to deny us opportunities to survive in life. That’s
is why today, Anambra State alone has 3,000 plus of all the 4,000 plus
billionaires in Nigeria. These people all started this same way. Very small of
course, through hardwork, commitment, dedication and drive to survive, they
were able to break grounds to headline the areas of their interest. This eventually
gave them international recognition with bigger corporations across the globe
who suddenly began to compete to build partnerships with them as a vehicle to
reach the ever growing and strongly emerging Nigerian market.
The Innosons, the Coscharis’,
Ifeanyi Ubas et al, all started from nothing like this with little or no
capital but today they are creating billions of capital.
Our youths must utilize
this best opportunity that is coming their way to engage themselves in
productive activities instead of choosing the wrong path of yahoo yahoo,
prostitution, kidnapping, robbery and all forms of social vices as means of
survival in the mist of scarce opportunities in organized private and public
sector.
The world is changing
and the challenges of 21st century demand ingenuity and innovation
no matter how small for anyone who wants to survive. Resources can only
continue on the downward curve of depletion, making it imperative for anyone
who wants to survive to think inwards to create and reinvent his own ideas for
survival no matter how little.
Congratulations to
everyone who was chosen as a lucky participant, while those who could not make
it should not give up but continue to trust that another opportunity will
favour them next time. Keep trying!
