Sen Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the former National Caretaker Chairman of the PDP and one of the leading presidential aspirants assured party supporters over the weekend at Birnin Gwari, that he would beat other aspirants in the primaries and pick the party’s presidential ticket because of his leadership prowess and sagacity.
He said that while addressing party members in Birnin Kebbi, during his visit to the state. Makarfi said, the other candidates are also qualify to pick the party’s ticket but he is more qualified.
Makarfi thus; “I know I am more qualified, because I have the experience of sailing the party through it turbulence period that lead to what she’s enjoying today, of course some of the aspirants have the experience but that cannot be compared with mine.”
He further said that he has good relationship with the gubernatorial candidates in the State at both the State and National level, telling the gathering of political supporters in Kebbi. Saying, he is in Kebbi not to campaign but to familiarize himself with the party’s supporters.
He said also that President Muhammadu Buhari can be defeated in a fair and free elections.
National Working Committee (NWC) and Board of Trustee (BoT) of the PDP are working tirelessly to ensure the primaries of the party held without any rancour, he said
