The Nigerian Senate has condemned the killings in Kaduna which was described as unfortunate, unmindful, inhumane, unnecessary and avoidable by Senator Hunkuyi who moved the motion.
In the motion, he noted that lives and properties have been destroyed as insecurity pervades the entire Kaduna metropolis.
He said the curfew has failed to arrest the sporadic an incessant killings of across the area, rather the curfew has unfortunately provided window for hoodlums around town to go about killing people unecessarily.
He pointed out that a community chief has been taking hostage in the past 6 days together with his aides whose bodies were later seen.
Concluding, he said the curfew is still on but the people live in fear and there is a graveyard peace in the area.
The senate condemned it and called for security agents to investigate the causes of the mayhem and bring perpetrators to book.
