It is Professor Chukwuma Soludo CFR. He has been elected by the party’s delegates. His primary election victory is significance, huge, remarkable and a great decision. Th Ojukwu's party has through its gubernatorial primary election on Wednesday, 23 June, voted CHARLIE NWA MGBAFOR as its candidate for the forthcoming Anambra governorship election scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission -INEC, to hold on November 6th, 2021.
Accurately, Professor Chukwuma Soludo CFR polled a total of 740 votes out of 792 casted to emerge victory, his closest rivalry Hon. Okwudili Nwankwo Member Representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency scored 41 votes, Hon. ThankGod Ibeh scored 4 votes and Hon. Damian Okolo scored 7 votes.
Before his first appearance to the public on political stage in 2010 where at the time he was the candidate of the People's Democratic Party -PDP for the Anambra gubernatorial election, Soludo served as Chief Economic Adviser to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Executive Officer of the National Planning Commission of Nigeria, and Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
