OBIDIENTS IN IMO STATE ALLEGE INFILTRATION AND INFLUENCE OF OPPOSITION IN GUBER PRIMARY

The Obidient movement which characterizes Labour Party across Nigeria is allerging infiltration into Labour Party in Imo state by Opposition, evidence they claim was very visible in last Guber Primary election in the state.

Reports of heavy financial inducements awash the news on LP Imo Guber primaries. This is completely against the ideologies and principles which our Principal Peter Obi is laying as foundation for a New Nigeria. Many of the true Obidients in Labour Party who contested for the Guber were taking aback by the Dollarization of the process by machineries sponsored by opposition parties to ensure a weak candidate emerged. 

Imo state is very crucial to Obidient movement in the East but we are being pushed to ignominy by agents secretly sent to infiltrate the party from outside making Imo one of the weakest LP states in the East. This Dollarized primary that produced weak candidates that have done little or nothing to the growth of Labour Party and Obidient movement in Owerri should not be allowed to stand.  

This Dollarized primary contravened and contradicted the ideologies of Labour Party. We are calling on Labour Party National Secretariat to review that primary and cancel it with strict adherence to standard adhered to in another primary. It has to be clearly stated that any candidate that shares money to bribe delegates will be disqualified.

An attempt to pursue the old order practised by the status quo political parties, a practice that Labour Party has come to move away from in a paradigm shift that make candidates win primaries based on their Competence, Capability and Capacity, the 3Cs that were the cardinal points of Peter Obi's campaign should be strictly enforced at State level by the party. This is because any attempt to follow the route of Dollarization of our primaries will spell doom for our party and it will lead us to the road to Golgotha as the members of Labour Party do not have  the Dollar war chest to compete with the status cum old political parties like PDP and APC when it comes to buying over delegates with money or money politics in general. It will be an open door for oppositions to hijack our primaries with their stolen Dollars and buy over all our delegates to produce weak candidates that will help to destroy and weaken the party in the long run as they will not win election for the party.

Imo state is yearning for a fresh leadership away from the oppressors that have held the state down just like Abia State. Its only a TRUE Obidient candidate of Labour Party with Professional background that can rescue the state. Not a chip off the old block who once supported Hope Uzodimma as governor of the state.

And little or nothing can be said about the contributions of these strange Guber candidates to the Obidient movement in the state and the eventual victory of our principal in the state even in the face of APC intimidation in last election.

We are finally calling on leadership of Labour Party to review the allegations of buying of Delegates in the primary and do the needful by cancelling the primary for a fresh primary that must conform to the ideology and principles of the party.
