NAPTIP ARRESTS POLICEMAN AND RESCUE 10 TRAFFICKED YOUTHS



NAPTIP under the able leadership of the indefatigable amazon of the agency Julie Okah-Donli has continued its onslaughts and consistent crackdown on traffickers by arresting a policeman at the Abuja airport while 10 youths who are being trafficked to Russia in the guise of going for the world cup were rescued.

It was reported that this was aided through the exercise called Operation Block by the agency. The policeman arrested Esan Mathew was arrested for complicity in aiding and abetting the crime.

The victims were attempting to board Turkish airline enroute Russia before they were rounded up by the operatives.

The victims were 9 girls and one boy. According to the head of Public relations at NAPTIP, Stella Nezan, " Apart from the policeman, a quarantine officer, Stephen Fayemiwo, was also arrested for allegedly coordinating the movement of the victims."
