PRESIDENT SIGNS 2018 BUDGET INTO LAW

The President signed 2018 Budget of N9.12T today, saving the country from imminent spending freeze if the budget is not signed soon while the 2017 budget is due to expire in few days.

The President however criticized the National Assembly for  introducing 6,403 Constituency Projects which amounted to N578B increase on the budget submitted to them.

He also lamented the reduction of the 4,700 projects in the budget submitted to them which amounted to N347B.

Finally the President lamented that the 2018 budget might be too difficult to implement due to the alterations done by National Assembly.
