SPAIN VS PORTUGAL THRILLER 3-3

It was a thrilling night for football fans as football giants Spain and Portugal squared up against each other.

It ended in a thriller with 6 goals registered. The maximum per match so far in this FIFA World cup.

Spain started very shaky with an early foul on Ronaldo by Busquets giving referee who was right there no chance but to point on the spot.

Ronaldo dusted himself, took the spot kick and scored with barely less than 3minutes of the game played.

Spain responded through Diego Costa who actually fouled Pepe on his way but fortunately for him referee was not close to make up his mind, allowing play to go on and Costa restored parity.

Ronaldo again scored a seconed goal with a shot outside the penalty box which De Gea could not hold unto, the ball slipped into his net.

Diego Costa again went ahead to make it 2-2, but they were not done. Spain went ahead to score the 3rd goal.

But just as fans were expecting Spain to carry the day as time was inching close to 90minutes, Ronaldo was fouled close to the box. Once again Ronaldo picked up himself and curled a free kick beside the wall to end the game 3-3 a piece with him getting first hatrick in this World Cup.

Tomorrow will see Nigeria square up with Croatia.
