ANAMBRA NORTH, A WATERSHED PARADIGM SHIFT

Paradigm shift is the hallmark of effective leadership change.  Effective and impactful leadership must witness a paradigm shift from the conventional to a new order of doing things to achieve expected goals and objective. However, the shift must be positive and result oriented for the people to applaud it.

Senator Stella Oduah when she ascended to Anambra North leadership position, promised the people that her representation will witness a paradigm shift that will welcome an era of verifiable projects and programs as against the past when imaginery projects were enumerated without any authentication of their existence just to hoodwink the electorates.  

Today, the people are verifying the projects themselves as they see the bulldozers constructing their roads daily and live without the practice of seeing them only via TV imaginery. Presently, more than 15 roads in Anambra North are under construction under her tutelage and guardianship as constituency projects she attracted to the communities to alleviate their challenges of navigating around by road and to ease the challenge of transporting their agricultural produce to the cities.

In this era of rising neglect of the interest of the youths, she attracted the construction of four sports centres and a  Mini Stadium that will contribute to molding and developing the skills of the youths whose innate skills and interest navigate towards that direction. 

Many youth empowerment programs have been launched in the constituency to help develop the entrepreneurial skills of the youths with starter packs and initial capital released to successful one to kick start their life in that direction.

In education, many youths are under scholarship programs under her tutelage and sponsorship and that of her foundation all to address the educational challenges of the youths to help develop their human capital to enable them compete equitably in this 21^st century.

Senator Oduah being a visionary leader realized the need to install street lights in many roads in the zone to increase economic activities at late nights and also reduce the level of crime that thrives in those nocturnal hours hitherto.  As we speak, more than 21 streets in our constituency are undergoing this solar street lightning program to the delight of the communities.

She realised the importance of information technology (IT) in this 21st century and era of information super highway, hence she attracted an IT centre in Nzam Anambra West to cater to that need and attend to the interest of this century of innovation in technology. The centre is already nearing completion as the building is undergoing painting as we speak.

You cannot isolate the health of the people if you must make holistic impact in their lives. This prompted the senator to attract Health Care Centres in the constituency to reduce the high level of infant and maternal mortality recorded in these communities because of inadequate health facilities to attend to the sick ones promptly and nip the sickness in the bud before it metamorphoses into a full blown illness that will take their lives. 

Accordingly, as we speak, three of such Primary Health Care Centres are undergoing construction in the zone. This will bring relief to many mothers who groan about the dangers of loosing their children yearly to minor illness just because there is no close medical facility to attend to their health needs urgently when they require them.

Water they say is life and our indefatigable Senator realizes this. To reduce the sufferings of the communities to access clean water for their households for drinking daily,  about 14 Hand Water Pumps have been constructed in different parts of the zone to the relief of the communities who lacked these amenities hitherto. Today these communities can fetch clean water for their households without any impediment.

In all these, you cannot take way the paramount nature of security of lives and properties. In this era of constant agitation for community policing as the only panacea to reduce crimes that happen in this small communities including the rising herdsmen clashes with farmers, our visionary leader realised this need ab initio. This is why as we speak, two police stations and two police quarters are undergoing construction in different  parts of the constituency to cater to the security of lives and properties of the entire people of Anambra North.

Apparently, we cannot exhaust all the projects and programs under the auspices of our indefatigable Senator Stella Oduah within this three years she has been at the Senate representing our people in just one piece, but it’s a continuous process of keeping the people informed about the realities of our time under her able leadership. As we speak, many other projects are already in the offing for this 2018 Budget that was just accented to recently.

Everyone can attest to the fact that this is unprecedented in the history of our people and this is just the beginning of good times that await us if we continue to stick our neck in support of this leader whose passion for her people can barely be imagined.

Our people have repeatedly yearned for this impactful leadership all the years and now that we have it, we cannot wish it away just with a porridge of yam and empty promises by desperate politicians who only want to take us back to the dark era of leadership without results rather unending list of sycophants who are self serving and ready to mortgage the interest of the entire zone for their own self serving interests.
