LAGOS: THE THUGGERY/AGBERO CAPITAL OF THE WHOLE WORLD AND THE IGBOS

The aftermath of the Presidential elections has seen Igbos in Lagos been attacked alongside their businesses just because they refused to align their votes to APC, a party that has remained hostile to their needs and aspirations.

The issue caught the attention of eminent statesman Bode George hence prompting his call and response that the mobilization of thugs alias agberos by Tinubu and his APC against the Igbos could be dangerous and possibly plunge us into another civil war.

Tinubu has never hidden his penchant for thuggery because thats the only way he has remained relevant in the scheme things in Lagos and South West. He ruled Lagos through thuggery, by financing and empowering tugs to attack opposition so as to cow them into submission. In most cases they are used to snatch ballot boxes, cause chaos in opposition stronghold so as to diminish their votes.This is the foundation of Tinubu's Jagaban or king of Lagos politics.

Lagos is the only big city in the world under the stranglehold of political tugs that rob, harass, intimidate and cause violence repeatedly in the big metropolis unchecked. Tt is simply tugs capital of the whole world.

This is one of the sins of Ambode George. Being a learned gentle man, Ambode realises the damage Tinubu tugs/agberos are doing to Lagos economy and that is why he embarked on gradually annihilation and expulsion of tugs from Lagos roads. This he started by building a befitting modern bus stops for Lagos from Oshodi, to Ikeja et al and also gradual phasing out of molues and danfo buses which are breathing grounds for this agberos who are bus stop touts and tansporters in the day, but criminals at night.

This infuriated Tinubu, as he realised that the new and modern Lagos of international standard as envisaged by Ambode, will totally deliver Lagos from his stranglehold of tugs and set the city to harness its potentials as the biggest economy and the largest city in Africa. This is the basis for the gang up against Ambode that made Tinubu to betray him and impose Sanwo Olu on APC lagos overnight.

Apparently, during elections, millions of Naira are released to the tugs through their leaders like the so called MC Oluomo for them to mobilise their tugs against oppositions stronghold to destabilise them and diminish their votes through desenfranchising them illegally by ballot snatching, shooting at pooling boots et al.

Interestingly, South West and all their so called education has continued to watch as this malaise continues to diminish the growth and deny the great city its world standard under the instructions of one man who has made himself king of south west. All the so called Wole Soyinkas, Femi Falanas etc have all been bought over with a poridge of yam by Tinubu that they cannot criticize the effects of tugs on Lagos economy nor their activities during elections.

Lagos misses only one man, one voice that used to cry in the wilderness, and that is Gani Fawehimi of blessed memory, the people's lawyer. Every other person shouting and claiming civil liberty lawyer or leader is just fake and they have all been bought over overnight.

This recent attack is a grand plot to cow, intimidate and stop Igbos from voting in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, having seen how their votes gave PDP victory over APC in Lagos but APC in connivance with INEC rewrote the election and robbed PDP to declare APC winner. Tinubu knows that the coming gubernatorial election will be more difficult for his APC to rig considering the fact that the sitting governor might not be motivated to rig for APC thereby making it difficult to rig for Sanwo Olu while Ambode boys are watching.

One thing is for sure, just as tugs financed and mobilised by Sheriff to win Borno elections later metamorphosed into full blown terrorist called  Boko Haram because they were ignored after being armed to win elections, one day when Tinubu will no longer be alive to finance his tugs across Lagos and entire South West, the tugs/agberos will unleash greater mayhem on Lagosians and the entire south West. The days of Anini might be too small compared to what MC Oluomo and his tugs will do to entire Lagos as full blown tugs and criminals without a leader. May i not be in Lagos then.

For now, Lagos agberos and their boss Tinubu can continue to paint Lagos red and make it the world headquarters of tugs intimidating, harassing and killing people while everyone watches in trepidation. The day of reckoning might tarry but it shall surely come in time not be to far.

They should tread with caution though because the day Igbo retaliates, their might be civil war that will consume all of us and the entire Nigeria.
