Representative JULIUS PONDI of the house of representatives(PDP), Burutu Federal Constituency has gotten a renewed mandate to remain in NASS for another four years.
He defeated his closest rival, Mr. Karona Etonye of the All Progressives Congress with a gaping vote margin of 36,582 to 8,472 recorded by Mr. Etonye.
It is recalled that in the past three and a half year of his first tenure, Hon. Pondi has spectacularly acquitted himself as a one who is n touch with the grassroots and understands the plight of his people.
He worked assiduously to bring dividends of democracy to the grassroots in an unprecedented manner as it has never been recorded before in the hostry of Burutu. So it was not a surprise that he got a rousing support at the ballot box by the people who have openly commended his impact in their lives.
He has promised to consolidate his achievement in first term in this coming second term and to attract greater federal projects to the communities.
Congratulations to the campaign team of Hon Pondi, as we wish him a successful member of the 9th Assembly come May 29th.
